I do believe this would be an awesome combo. Just not 100% sure it'd go with my blacked out black/yellow accents how I'd like by introducing another color.
:lol:LOL... that is too funny... i get the same reaction when I say something to my wife about a compliment i received.... it's fun to see reactions and makes the day a bit brighter...This morning I got my first neck-breaker! (not to be confused with your average head turner) At least that I've noticed.... Was driving down the highway and this 2-door work-pickup truck is passing on my left (not fast or anything I was just in the right lane getting ready to exit) and I notice the guy in the passenger seat looking back at me with that sort of blank "in awe" stare from the side window as they are passing. Then they get far enough ahead of me that he is turning his head all the way around to look out the back window of the truck. I think he might have been an owl....
I was so excited I had to call my GF who promptly told me " I hung up on my dad for this? bye." *click*. Was just reading through this thread yesterday and figured y'all would appreciate it more.
Haha, as I walk out to my car from stores, I always catch people stopping at it or taking second looks. Almost every single time.
I tell my wife about the compliments too. She just smiles. I think its because she gets more of them then I do, with that long strawberry blonde hair in a ruby red vert. Lol.
The first person asked me how I kept it so quite to which I explained it was the baby mustang, 4cyl etc, he said he didn't know you could get it with a 4cyl haha. Its amazing with all the marketing ford did, how average people don't seem to be aware of the EB.
I was torn between a classic mustang (check out the streetside classics website) and the 2005-2014 remake.. then the S550 came out. It took me a bit to adjust and get used to it... then I watch the documentary "a faster horse" and was completely sold on the new design. For the most part people really love the look.. I hear so often from both guys and gals who don't care for Mustangs...."I don't really care that much for Mustangs, but THIS is really nice" I was standing behind a lady at a local hardware store who had a "Shelby Snake" t-shirt on and asked her if she owned a mustang. She said, "no, but my name is shelly and so my sister bought be this tshirt because the name was close"... she then went on to say that her ex owned a 67 mustang and that she really loved the old style, but did not care fo the "new remake".. She then proceeded to ask me if I owned a Mustang.....I smiled and said I have a 2016 and not to worry as I was not offended by her comment that she did not like the new style...To each his own, but I think for the majority of the general public Ford knocked it out of the park with the redesign.....[MENTION=24573]Lorne34[/MENTION] glad to hear I'm not the only one whose significant other doesn't car about the car shenanigans
Side note almost forgot. I had my the first person that had me roll down my window and shout to me from another car last Friday, then it happened again on Saturday
Also shortly before I got my car I was debating between the S197 and S550. The pivotal moment of me deciding on the S550 was when I was out to dinner one night and there was one parked in the parking lot. I just thought hey a cool new mustang. I was walking inside and heard this couple behind me go "hey is that a mustang?!" and they walked over to it and were checking it out talking about how they "hadn't seen this kind", or something like that. As much as I was torn when the design was first released, Ford really did do a great job designing a beautiful car....Then 2018 happened ;)
