Yep. Same here. 5:00 AM commute and most people on the (including me) are barely awake .....plus f'n TikTokers
Exactly. I like this and considered installing. I've seen them on other vehicles and you do notice the high mount brake flash a lot sooner. That sticker has to go.

I agree 100%.

But I'm also the guy that bought my car off the lot and coughed-up an extra $1,000 for the worthless Safe & Smart Package that I did not want. Back in April of 2020, it's the only car I could find with all the options that I did want.

OP, those lights are about the dumbest things ever. Good on you for getting rid of it. Those lights are like a peacock and it's plumage for 99% cars. "Everybody look at me".

But not only that, numerous traffic studies show the flashy lights on police cars actually attract more attention, and cause accidents. This is why modern police car light bars on the roof can turn off the front facing red and blues while the rear facing remain on, so that oncoming traffic isn't distracted. This flashy third brake light is no different.

And if you have been rear ended 5 times, there is only one common denominator in that equation...

You guys have given me something to think about. I've been rear ended once but once is enough. My car has aftermarket taillights that sweep out when the brake is applied. When my wife was following me, she said that the combination of the sequential brake light and the flashing 3rd light was "too busy".

The taillights appear to be Euro Ford tails but I'm not sure if there are something else like Vland? I need to pull one out and see what it actually is.

Don't worry...that sticker is long gone!!

Yes. BUT if you remember at that time, Ford had shut down production of vehicles because of the chyna virus.
Restart and availability of Mustangs was an unknown,

Besides that, vehicles made after restart had, let's say, a slightly higher increase in build/quality issues.

I have a different recollection of that & experience. Ordered my Mustang November 19, took possession of it April 15, 2020, best tax day ever.

Spending that kind of money, making sure it is 100% the way I like it. The thing I like the most about Ford, one can buy straight up performance.

Ok, I dug into this a bit more. I found Diode Dynamics sequencers (causes brake lights to sequence/sweep out when braking) and the 4th brake light kit. I removed the sequencers because I think that under braking, all 6 tail lights should illuminate at the same time. I kept the 4th brake like kit though because I like it and it isn't as easy to remove. Under braking, the reverse light turns red.

I'm happy with this setup. Ie, taillights work like normal (sequenced when turn signal, but all on at the same time under braking), flashing 3rd light (3 flashes, then solid), and the 4th brake light mod.

The sequencer is a cool mod on paper but if you're on the brakes, all lights should come on at the same time IMO.

The mods:

FYI

After the vehicle is sold, Federal law prohibits any manufacturer, dealer, distributor, or motor vehicle repair business from installing the sensor to modify the performance of the third brake light and cause it to flash.
