While not the best/fair/most valid comparison ever, I have found the limits of the Z26 on my S197 car on one run of the The Dragon. It does have Brembo's on the front and is an extremely well set up, very capable 197 car. I have never found the limits of my GLoc's.

Hey guys - need brake pad recommendations for my specific use case. 2020 350R, not being tracked or auto crossed but I do drive it spiritedly…not 10/10 on public streets of course but I’d say as hard as one would reasonably push a 350 on back roads :)

The brake dust on the OE pads is killing me - especially since my M2CS has carbon ceramics and never gets any dust! Made worse by the gloss black wheels…after one short drive, looks like I never cleaned them. Guys in the M community have taken a liking to Carbotech 1521s as a good performance pad that significantly cuts down on dust. I know there will likely be some performance compromise, but since I am not trying to smash lap times, I’m OK with some loss.

Searched around on here and see some folks have used the 1521s with solid results, but looking for opinions more broadly - what’s your top pad suggestion for someone looking to maintain as much performance as possible while significantly cutting down brake dust?

Thank you!
Power Stop has different grades from oe type to race. Plus fairly reasonable.

I'm thinking of also switching to either the G Locs or Powerstops to cut down on the dust. Since I only have 6,000 miles on the car, is it necessary to also do the rears or will I be ok just swapping the front pads for now?

Thanks!

I ran the GLOC GS-1s early in my car journey and they were okay. I did find their limit on the street in....."let's say a spirited cruise through the canyons north of LA." I had one particular area where I had to really get into them after some fun cruising and I didn't like how they responded. They came off the car and I dealt with the dust after that.

I learned my lesson - never make the brakes less effective than they came from the OEM
