Yes, vacuum systems work fine.

Well I never. Had no idea you could plug in a computer and it bled the brakes for you. I have just got a one way valve for bleeding brakes I've not used it yet but just plugs into the hose so you can pump away. I'm a bit old school I guess. I think I'll keep pumping the pedal.
