Any special procedures to bleed these brakes? I pulled a half a bottle of fluid through them with a vacuum bleeder and they are still soft. I looked for bleeder nipples around the master cylinder and the ABS pump but I didn't see any.

I use a Motive Power Bleeder and fill up the reservoir and pressurize the system and then go in the correct order and bleed. Just make sure you look @ the manual for the correct order, sorry I dont remember off the top of my head but I think its back right, back left, front right, front left.

The Motive Bleeder system uses a pressurized can that kinda looks like a paint sprayer can. You attach the hose to the reservoir, pump up the pressure, and then that pressure pushes the fluid through the system so that when you release the valve on each caliper it pushes the old fluid out.

Ordered one of these last night. I hope it fits. Motive was unable to give me anything better than a guess for which kit I need.

I use one of these as well. Haven't done it on the Mustang yet though.

It works great....as long as you have the proper fitting for every car that you do.

Are you guys using fitting 1118 (red aluminum 3-tab)? I can't get this thing to attach. Seems too small.

Clearly the wrong cap. It blows off at 8psi and tore up the threads on my reservoir.

I would also update that the pressure bleeding system works great. I actually used a MityVac pressure system while I was waiting on the replacement cap mentioned above, but the principle is the same. The vacuum system did not work; it just wasted $15-20 worth of fluid.

Can you post the part numbers of the Motive System you used along with the correct cap #? I think this would be very useful for a lot of us. Thanks

I just contacted the mechanics at Utah that maintain the GT 350's for the Track Attack program and they told me they use pressure bleeding system like a Motive. They have used it for 4 years on the Boss cars as well as the GT 350's without issue. :ford:
