Random hard brake pedal....brake booster issues

I never mentioned anything about a check valve. Maybe check the posts before you look foolish.

You have auto trans, does it have remote start ? If yes kind of nixes the
"stab the pedal really, really hard to get the switch to engage for push button start.>

Pulling my keys out to start a push button start defeats the purpose of a push button start. The problem is not mine. It's Ford's. Stop trying to bully the thread and go back to your bridge.

Since I'm the op of this thread I thought I would update this. I totally forgot about it until I started getting emails/updates about other replies.

I changed the check valve and I no longer have any problem. It cost me $8.
My car can sit for several days and everything's fine. So the check valve in my case was defective.

Good to hear. My 2018 did this even after sitting for a day. I wanted to try the check valve, but never did. Fortunately I seem to be good in my 20.
