Hello everyone.

First post here :headbang:I recently bought a 16 GT PP and looking to upgrade to a new catback system. From what I researched so far, Borla S-type looks like a great option for tone and volume on a daily driver. The part that got me confused is the piping diameters offered. Basically if I’m going to keep this car mostly stock other than a CAI and a tune upgrade, should I go with 2.5” or 3” piping in order not to lose any low-end power and gain performance in general as much as possible? I hear 3” setups sounds louder but there seems to be some loss of low-end torque? Are there any dyno comparisons? Really looking for some help in here. Thanks in advance

Will you be going force induction? If so then 3.0" it is, not, stick with the 2.5". I have the 2.5" stype and it sounds brutal. You will love it.

Catbacks aren't worth any horsepower so a dyno between the two would be worthless.

+1.
2.5" is more then enough if you're not going to supercharge your car.

The Borla S-Type sounds great! Nice and aggressive on cold starts...but not obnoxious.
Zero drone, mellow when cruising.
Normal acceleration & deceleration it sounds strong.
Hard acceleration the Borla S-Type is very aggressive...you and those around you will know you've got a 5.0L.

I've gotten many compliments. Couldn't be happier with the Borla S-Type.

Perfectly said. I got the 2.5, although I do plan on eventually installing a whipple it's a few years away so figured no reason to go with the 3 until then.

Either will work fine, 2.5 is only limiting once you get up there in HP. Let us know if we can help you out at all!
