Borla Akak cat back (2.5" vs. 3.0")

Apologies if it's been discussed and I've looked around but didn't see a related thread. What's the real difference between the 2.5" and the 3" besides the sound? Pros and cons, difference in performance? Not sure which one to go with. Sorry for the noob question.

From what I have been told there is really no difference in performance unless you go forced induction. as for sound I am not to sure about that some experts can weigh in.
