Boosted...which gear ratios?

Boosted guys...curious what you gears you guys are using. I have 3.73s and I am not a big fan, seems like im constantly shifting, havent taken to the track but id be in 5th gear at end of the track. My 4th gear goes til about 170kmh/105mph roughly. I have a whipple gen 5, bolt ons, making 770rwhp.

3.31 seems to be thrown around a lot. That’s what I have and I’m basically stock with Whipple tune, 285 Indys out back. 1&2nd are useless.

Ya from what I have been reading, I see 3.31s a lot, forgot to mention I have a 2015 GT, 3.15s may be ok as well. 3.73s are maybe for the NA guys?

Maybe someone else can chime in here with more knowledge than I have, esp for the track. I’m guessing 3.31 is a good compromise if you have decent traction, 3.15 might be a little low if you don’t have 10 gears. 3.73 definitely best for an NA coyote, maybe even higher if you had a gen3 6M.

I have a 19gt p1x 9psi 3rd gear I get to about 120mph, I hardly ever go into 4th at wot (cause you know that guy that will show up and throw you in jail) been thinking a 4.10 but I wanna go e85 and a little more boost so I might wait untill after I add more hp to see how I like it

Yeah 3.73s are definitely too short. If keeping the Mt82 i'd try 3.31s like everyone suggested. I still have 3.73s as well and it's way too much shifting vs what I notice when racing my buddies

I've got a Whipple car as well making 885rwhp and swapped my factory 3.55 for the 3.31's. Much better and I can cross the trap in 4th gear instead of having to shift into 5th.
