Boost Works Single Turbo Kit

I'm curious to see the boost response on these trims. Having owned a highly modified turbo car before there is a point of negative returns when you start going bigger turbo on a street car.

Check out the S197 CPR cars. Those guys ran big T6s, and I don't think anyone complained about streetability.

So was mine, as I assume most people don't consider something streetable when boost suddenly smacks you late in the curve.

With a good torque converter tunning or a manual transmission it is manageable

really? i thought they said they were not going to be doing one for the s550? good to know, but at what price point will they be in the market at because at 5k boostworks will be a great starting point.

Their [CPR] current price for single is over $7,000 and I think that's with custom manifold.

I think the direction Travis is going using the [strong] existing stock manifold is a wise decision. That was my first question.
This is going to be an attractive kit with different sizes of Turbos for different applications. I hope Travis will offer a smaller Twin scroll ball bearing turbo option for street driving.

yea agreed and then the fact that you can option for custom ones if you want is a great idea for the higher hp applications.

Travis is t4 housing i believe. Cpr is borg warner turbos using t6 housing. Cpr 7299. It also comes with a 5 inch down pipe and k memeber collaboration with bmr. Cpr's kits have been seen in the low 7s depending on turbo chosen and what k member he offers you go with. It just depends on whats someones goal is. :shrug: i think between travis, jpc and cpr we have great options. Each have their pros and cons. All retain accessories

Im excited to see how the downpipe is sized and routed, as well as whether or not the sway bar is retained. Theres actually a fourth single turbo option, EDP *cough*. Second thought, there are only three options.
