I recently purchased my 2018 mustang with a vortech supercharger on it. The car is very fast but doesn’t feel as fast as it should be. I had the car dynoed and it proved by concern. The car seems to die off after 6k and it has a major boost leak somewhere. I need help finding it if anyone has had similar issues.

The car seems to run fine just excessively rich in high rpm which leads me to believe Lund tuned the car around the issue which means it has likely never ran the way it should.
One thing I found is that my car has this open and not ran to anything while the persons pictured has his capped off and Vortech themselves have it re routed to the intake. Does anyone in here have a similar setup with no air filter that knows what to do with this?

The car feels much faster then it has ever felt now. Seems to be what the problem was and most likely what the previous owner couldn’t figure out

Sure someone didn’t put a gen 2 manifold in it to gain low end ToRk?

you need to log boost. Without it we’re blind
I data logged with my ngauge but boost isn’t recorded. From talking with a reputable shop owner who uses Lund as a tuner, I think the previous owner had unsolved issues so Lund so they left after 6500 rpm unfinished. Lund is not really helping me in terms of the history of the car and what all is done to it but they did offer to do a data log review for $150.

I didn’t realize it was a 6 month fee I thought it was a fee they needed every time you send a new set of logs in. That makes more sense. I have all my logs ready so Ill get them sent and see what Lund thinks is going on.

People really pay this? SMH
what’s the problem? Do you not pay bills every month? So do they. They aren’t your log review slaves

I don't think lund would give a customer a fully unlocked tune with a car that has problems. They have always made me fix any issues before fully unlocking a tune.

Maybe it was working properly then the cap came off. Thus, a subsequent sale to you. Lund will not give you a history, I actually don't blame them. Do you know how many cars they would be tracking customer to customer with all these sales transactions. They would spend more time on that than tuning.

I see where you said you ran some logs is it still excessively rich after the boost leak was fixed? I know they command something like .79 lambda on 93.

If Lund can get 150 to look at a log, more power to him.

If he finds something wrong will he discount the tune by 150?
