Poor build quality, looks very after market and the gains over the GT 350 CAI (with uprated filter) are probably so little its not worth worry over.

Also throttle, open CAI's have jumpy throttle, this can of course be rectified to a certain degree by new throttle mapping, but the GT 350 CAI should combine super sensitive throttle whilst also being smooth without the jumpyness.

Let see as I am super sensitive to such things, as I do a lot of circuit driving so being able to keep the car balanced on throttle is absolute critical to myself.

Also Ford spent god knows how much money on the R&D for GT 350 and to get all the parts working together in harmony, this level of R&D the CAI manufacturers simply do not have. The GT 350 CAI cost me $175 so its worth trying for me.

Do not get me wrong PMAS now with revised tune and throttle mapping drives great and with tune I have gained 50BHP / 50lb/ft over stock so awesome gains, those are flywheel figures by the way. :)
Have a link for the GT350 CAI?

Just throwing this out there but Whipple superchargers technically bolt on... ;) and the tune for them supplied by Whipple is spot on so you wouldn't have to worry about that either.

Well, as far as the BBK vs GT350 TB goes, the BBK TB IS bigger. And I would be surprised if it didn't offer more gains over the stock TB. Very surprised. You would eliminate the tuning issues that some are still having. I know some have solved the tuning issues, but other tuners are still trying to figure it out. If your tuner is one of the ones still figuring it out, then I would say go with the BBK as it'll make your life much easier. Once it is all figured out then you could just sell it and switch to the GT350 TB...or keep it on.

I hear ya. I'm tuning with Lund. I'm not 100% sure they have it figured it out yet but someone on this thread will know within the next week or two. I'm planning on the GT350 IM, TB, and Intake with the upgraded filter.

350 CAI is like only $175, well worth the punt for O.E. finish or wait to see my results, should only be a week or two now. :)
Thanks for the info! Im leaning towards the whole 350 setup. CAI, IM, and TB. I'm tuning with Lund. Please keep me posted!

I am with Lund too, they told me now they have GT 350 TB working spot on and said the gains are marginal at best but there is some very minor gains and no losses. They also did say the throttle will be super responsive but also buttery smooth and to be honest that to me is way more important than losing or making a few horses, the car needs to drive right.

That's very good to hear. Did they have to adjust the tune for that filter you got? I would probably run the exact same setup as you.

Have you received the parts yet? I'm very curious about this setup.

Extremely difficult for whom? Shaun at AED has it dialed in 100%.
Had another tune on the 350 manifold/TB had surging. Lund tuned now no surging. Car feels good.

I would only do the Steeda or PMAS CAI.

Why not GT 350 CAI? It was afterall designed for the kit.
I just finished installing the IM, TB, and CAI. My SCT x4 is having some issues so I'm waiting until Monday to call them so I can load the tune. I'm super stoked!
