Hey everyone. I want to make sure I have this all right. I have a 2017 and plan on doing several bolt ons and want to make sure I have the right parts. My biggest concern is the intake. There's an intake for the GT350 and for the GT. Since I'm planning on adding the GT350 IM I want to make sure I'm getting the right parts.

1) JLT Cold Air intake
http://www.americanmuscle.com/jlt-cold-air-intake-2015gt.html

2) GT350 Intake Manifold
http://www.americanmuscle.com/frpp-gt350-intake-manifold.html

3)BBK 90mm throttle body
http://www.americanmuscle.com/bbk-90mm-throttlebody-1516gt.html

4)GT350 intake manifold BBK 90 mm tb adapter
https://www.blowfishracing.com/engi...50-intake-bbk-90mm-throttle-body-adapter.html

Plan on wrapping this all up with a Lund tune. Please let me know if I have this right. Thank you.

Just asking. But why do you want to use that TB when the GT350 TB is much cheaper and doesn't require a spacer?

Like bluebeastsrt said, that 90mm TB is not needed, and more money. Performance-wise, you may very well not notice a difference except your wallet being a lot lighter. I have the stock 80mm TB with an MMR adapter and have no issues and runs super. And, in the "GT350 IM is awesome" thread, they are finding the GT350 87mm TB is showing very little horsepower increase over the 80mm and SOME guys are still have a surging issue. BUT, they are reporting better, snappier throttle response. Just because I stayed with the 80mm doesn't mean it's the best route, but I'm more than happy with. (And too lazy to take it apart, again). Hey, at least I admit it.

Hi there

Why not go the OEM route? I am doing:

GT 350 IM
GT 350 TB
GT 350 CAI
GT 500 Airaid performance filter (fits the GT 350 CAI).

That setup will give you best drive ability, lowest posible IAT's, air force fed to the air box as the GT 350 CAI is the only one on the market that actually seals properly against the hood. It also has buttery smooth throttle, not the jumpy throttle that a lot of CAI's can suffer from though Lund can change throttle mapping and sensitivity to help with this.

Also the GT 350 kit fits perfectly and it just works, plus you save a whole load of money. Changing the filter out on the GT 350 CAI is worth around 7WHP, going to a JLT is worth around 10WHP, so is it really worth it for 3WHP which is lost as soon as your on the road due to higher IAT's and not as nice throttle.

I hope to be fitting the full OEM GT 350 kit this weekend if the parts clear customs, for me the most important aspect is how the car drives and not gaining 3WHP more on a dyno. :)

Thank you all for the replies. From my research it seems the GT350 tb is extremely difficult to tune and has surging issues on our cars. But I will definitely stay stock tb if that's better.

I get what you are saying. After reading many posts, I'm going to stick with the 350 tb, IM, and still deciding on intake.

Yea I'm realizing I should stick with the 350 throttle body, IM, and still deciding on intake.

Question...can I run the GT350 CAI without a tune? Is the MAF diameter larger than the GT?

350 CAI is like only $175, well worth the punt for O.E. finish or wait to see my results, should only be a week or two now. :)

Tune required as I believe maf diameter is indeed larger.

Extremely difficult for whom? Shaun at AED has it dialed in 100%.

Why are you ditching your PMAS?

Why are you ditching your PMAS?

Poor build quality, looks very after market and the gains over the GT 350 CAI (with uprated filter) are probably so little its not worth worry over.

Also throttle, open CAI's have jumpy throttle, this can of course be rectified to a certain degree by new throttle mapping, but the GT 350 CAI should combine super sensitive throttle whilst also being smooth without the jumpyness.

Let see as I am super sensitive to such things, as I do a lot of circuit driving so being able to keep the car balanced on throttle is absolute critical to myself.

Also Ford spent god knows how much money on the R&D for GT 350 and to get all the parts working together in harmony, this level of R&D the CAI manufacturers simply do not have. The GT 350 CAI cost me $175 so its worth trying for me.

Do not get me wrong PMAS now with revised tune and throttle mapping drives great and with tune I have gained 50BHP / 50lb/ft over stock so awesome gains, those are flywheel figures by the way. :)
