BMR Parts on Amazon

If anyone has any insight on this it would be much appreciated.

About to order the BMR CB005 from Amazon and want to confirm authenticity before I do so. I realize the likelihood of this being a fake is low, but I've had some bad experiences ordering car parts from amazon in the past. I would order elsewhere, but I have an amazon gift card that's been sitting for a long time and what better way to spend it than on car parts.

Just as a general rule, if it's both sold by AND shipped by Amazon it's extremely unlikely that you'd receive a fake. I can't imagine Amazon themselves purchasing goods from anybody but the manufacturer or an official distributor.

Sometimes when something is shipped by Amazon but the seller is somebody else things can be sketchy. That's Amazon functioning in a warehousing capacity for the seller. That said, Amazon also tends not to like sellers pulling BS, so if they ship it you're covered.

Where it gets really sketchy is when something is both sold and shipped by a third party with Amazon just functioning as a market listing/payment service. There are VERY FEW third-party shippers I'd trust (like Skinomi for their phone screen protectors).

If you're ever not sure, that's usually a pretty decent guide to what's going on there. In your case you should be good.

And yea I ordered a part one time that was shipped and sold by a no-name auto parts store. I didn't realize when I ordered the part, but once I got the item and knew it was fake I checked the listing and sure enough.

Note : BMR have had some issues with fakes in the past.

I have purchase more than a few suspension parts for my GT and they are outstanding components. The real deal from Amazon.
