Looks like you broke the clutch or clutch not releasing fully.

Broke the clutch? What makes you say that? And the clutch not releasing fully would be a byproduct of incorrect TOB adjustment, correct?

I'm getting varied opinions, but McLeod said the clutch is in great condition.

Yea saw the pictures.
It's possible that the clutch is not sliding smoothly binding in a partially disengaged position.

If mcleod ruled out the clutch then you should look at the tob and slave, now you say you installed an oem slave but oem mean original equipment material, ie parts store parts! I would make sure those two are ford parts only. Oe and oem are totally two different things i would find out which first!

Received what is pretty much a brand new clutch assembly from mcLeod today. Turns out I wasn't crazy and the shop actually did install it incorrectly. Fucking morons. Drove two hours there and fought traffic for 3 hours back but I've got a new set-up. Now to deal with the shop.

Wow that sucks dude hopefully they won't charge you any more money and will install it the correct way.

Dropped the new clutch off today, I told him I'm not paying for labor this time and he looked at me like I said I banged his daughter. No negotiations. He said he couldn't figure out how they messed up and that if it was install error, why would McLeod cover it under warranty? He's a nice guy, stood his ground but didn't cop an attitude. In the end, I still was out of a car for longer than necessary.

it should be done by tomorrow. I'll be picking it up tomorrow night. If it feels fucked again I'll contact BBB.

True so you pay them then sue for the money you paid otherwise they can get a mechanics lean on your car.

So, pay for the labor again just to sue them? Doesn't that seem counterproductive?

Yeah but if you go the small claims route that's what you gotta do. If you don't they do not have to do what the BBB says they can tell them to pound sand then if you don't pay they keep your car, charge storage, and eventually take out a mechanics lean on the car and sell it.

OP, you gotta ask yourself how much time you want to invest into seeking legal action.

It sounds like you already dumped a ton of your time into this issue already and your time has a value too.

I'm not really interested in legal action. Just want my car running perfect so that the next owner doesn't have any loose ends and BS to deal with.
