Blendmount Mirror Tap - Avoid this mistake

Used a Blendmount mirror tap and mount for a Uniden R8 radar detector...when speaking to Blendmount they said their wiring diagram for a 2020 rearview mirror harness has Black with blue stripe as power and Brown with yellow stripe as ground - don't know if it is their diagram or the guy that read it off to me, but it is the exact opposite: Black w blue stripe is ground and Brown w yellow stripe is power - took me about 20 minutes to figure out the error, so hope this saves anyone else with this install some time!

Thanks this saved me a bit of time. I read your post backwards and did it wrong at first but quickly realized I should switch the two. Have a uniden r4 hardwired via a mirror tap now.

for anyone wondering it's not the wire clip on the far right, it's slightly larger gauge wires near the middle, on the 22 premium at least.

These adapters work really nice for dashcam installs and are also a lot easier to tap for radar at the same time. You could also buy a USB-C to Valentine/Uniden cord from Amazon cheaply as well.
