Well I found a local, straight shooting dealer who will sell me their first one for sticker. I had spoken to them a few years back about a GT500, same guy so I feel really good about this dealership. They're mid-sized and sold 3-4 GT500's in both '13-'14.

I've found during my inquiries that the larger dealers just care about today's deal and floor their specialty Mustangs for months on end with a $10K ADM sticker. The small dealers (if they even get one) will try to get you to put down a deposit over sticker.

If this deal goes through I'll be buying all of my Fords through them.
You're very lucky. I was already told by a dealer, who posts on this site, that they will not be selling them for MSRP.

Well you know what they say talk is cheap but from my past dealings with him from a few years back I believe he is a man of his word. He has worked there for a long time, is now the head sales mgr at the dealership etc. I didn't know he still worked there so I emailed the owner yesterday and he called me this morning

This might be a stupid question, but does stuff like X-plan apply to cars like the GT350? Even if it did, do any dealers accept it? (I know they aren't likely to do it early on, at least, but down the line?)

I know those manufacturer rebates usually don't work.

If you look at the ford partner recognition site, it excludes SVT models. From what I understand from others on this site though, it's all up to the dealer. Some dealers do accept it for cars like this.

If its not eligible for X-plan, then even the dealer can not accept and run it as a TRUE X-plan, using your X-plan PIN.
Hell on most of the SVT units even the dealership or Ford Employees can not use their D or A/Z plan.

It is a dealers decision and discretion to allow X-plan on any vehicle that is eligible for X-plan. Most SVT units are not eligible. Dealer can choose to sell it for a price around invoice, but the invoice will not have an A/X/Z/D pricing available. Most dealers would just charge sticker on limited units like this anyway.
