I came in here to talk about how I love black cars, but others are in here to bash the color as if non-black paint is god's gift to men.
Do I care if my black car has swirls or gets dirty easily? no, not really. All cars will get dirty and show swirl marks. Hell~ go get it repainted after 7-10 years if you're really anal about the paint of your car. Paint is there to be messed up to protect the sheet metal underneath. Paint messing up? I say it's doing it's job. Paint is probably the last thing I care about my cars as long as they're mechanically sound. I like Black cars. We all know the pain/headache of trying to keep a black car clean, so I don't try. I take my black cars to be professionally detailed once or twice a year. That seems to be working plenty good on my other black cars. To each his own.

Look particularly menacing in that photo. My last Mustang was a black '89 notchback 5.0, so I would be tempted to get a a black S550 for nostalgia sake

Lol most of the time I like black, but IMO doesn't work very well on the S550, at least this variant of Black. The lines are completely lost, at least in just about every picture. And yes a giant pain to keep clean but if the car had a better black than I might be swayed to get black again. But alas it is not so no black for me.


I do wonder how much different black looks in person, as camera's always have a hard time catching details of black objects?

Lines splines chimes times, they don't disappear on my 2011 so I'm not worried the 2015 will suffer any worse. Alls I knows is walking to my car in the parking lot it sure looks a helluva lot meaner than all the other cars in the lot.
