I have a 2022 Gt Premium with the black accent package and black wheels, and it game with silver lug nuts. I ordered these https://www.americanmuscle.com/black-acorn-lug-nuts-1516.html
but they don't fill the lug hole, and apparently they didn't paint the wheels black underneath the lug nuts. The paint also started to chip from putting them on. Is there a better set of lugs that will fill that hole and won't chip if I take them off with a impact? I included a picture below.

Gorilla makes an OEM style lug nut that will fit.

Be careful with the new style gorrilla lugs. The taper isnt as long as it was before on the cone (may still be on the locking lugs), and it causes excessive damage (Wear) to the lug seat because the lug is very hard to seat perfect while applying torque. I'm also not convinced that it wont cause the wear even if done perfectly with the wheel seated perfectly against the hub and everything run in by hand. I think it will still dig in when you apply torque around the wheel. YMMV.

I have talked to gorilla multiple times over the summer about this and the rep on the phone acknowledged the difference in the styles and sent me the old style. I've also asked to have them modifly the design and have somone call me in management about it, but that seems to fall on deaf ears.

I prefer to try to work with a vendor to work through these issues vs posting but they have gone MIA.

I've moved to the Ford Black Lugs. They are lighter and the cap is no issue unless you hit these with an impact all the time.

Which are the new vs old Gorilla lugs?

I see these versions:
WHLLN28
WHLLN124
61148FSBC

Then I found this image what has different part numbers (61148BCX instead of 61148FSBC). Are these the old ones?

Any other non-Ford lug nut recommendations? I find the Ford ones to be too soft and not durable.

I found this thread searching for another forum user and didn't realise I had commented on it so much ... lol.

I thought it only fair to update it with what I did :like:

I fitted McGard's as the long term testing seems to suggest they stand up to the elements better than the Gorilla's. I found them cheapest from Amazon using their global shipping (cheaper than buying Gorilla's from the states).

The bulge is slightly smaller than OE (but still uses all the taper in the wheel) so you do get a small silver ring :

But that's easily fixed with some correctly sized O rings :

These things look really nice, here is my 'nut' progression from standard / as supplied by Ford :

To the plastic nut cap option :

To the McGard / o ring / black pony centre cap option :

Some random photos I had taken of other things, but taken from 'real' angles :

Only the rear wheel totally finished in this shot (front still on the plastic nut cap / chrome pony option) :

Those look like the older ones yes. The newer ones are very different and the entire styles is more square. I'd have to go look for exact part numbers.

The ford ones are fine if you dont hit them with a impact and just use a breaker bar to losen. Once you start hittimg them with an impact they swell and disform.
