No garage and I find bird poop on my convertible top almost daily. What’s the best, quick spot cleaning method to avoid any damage until I have time for a thorough cleaning

Put a decent wax on it and use a cloth with warm (but not hot) water to get it off as soon as you spot it.

If it's going to rain that'll probably the do job nicely.

Gotta agree with the 303. Stuff is great.

303 for sure. I typically only do one coat, using a brush, but I'm in a garage. I understand that two coats gives the crazy beading that you see on YouTube. Just as important, you want to get it off the paint as well, as if it bakes on, it will damage it.

I spray two coats of 303 on every 6 months. Mask it up first. I get beading as pictured.
For bird poop, I just "agitate" it with a brush and rise it off when I wash my car. When I'm hand washing, I just hose down the top and scrape the water off with a silicone squeegee. The 303 lasts longer that way.

I haven't had to deal with tree sap. I don't think rinsing alone would work for that.

I’ve got some tree sap issues. Been told bug and tar remover works but I haven’t been brave enough to try it yet.
