Back up sensors

My car does not beep while backing up. I thought it would beep when nearing an object.

Check your options on your dashboard to see if you can turn the sound off or on. The controls are on the left side of your steering wheel under options.

Check your options on your dashboard to see if you can turn the sound off or on. The controls are on the left side of your steering wheel under options.

Thanks for the reply. I have checked all the options on the dash. Maybe it is a fuse or broken wire in the trunk harness. There are no visible sensors on the bumper cover. The car's option came with a rear spoiler delete? Don't know if that's a connection.

OK...now I understand.

The backup sensors was about a $295 option. If they are not visible on your bumper...then it becomes a mute point.

Mine has them,as I tend to damage things backing up!

I spent about 3 hours checking fuses,harness,back up lights,System settings etc........ So this is not standard but an option.......Thanks for your help
