Never get bored of watching billy drive. Absolutely insane.
We were about 1" off the wall.

You may appreciate this..... he chose to use 2nd gear out of each hole. Most would stick with the 3rd gear option, but Billy being Billy, he selected second gear out of turn 1, 3, and 5. It wound up being a really fun drifting session.

I wish my cams hadn't taken a dump.

given how damn clean his shifts are, Iā€™m not surprised. If you can do it consistently, lots of time being that high in the RPMs.

I noticed the engine just sounds more under load with him than your typical HPDE-er. I noticed the same thing when I used to race motocross.I could always pick out a pro by the sound of the engine. They always had them under load in the meatiest part of the power band. Just comes down to optimizing things better.

so much more skill than most people realize

Wow that was nice. What HB said is what I noticed as well. I just thought it was maybe something else, but compared to other video's of people driving, it sounded as he was in a different part of the tach in most of his turns and coming out. Still learning the road course stuff, always nice to watch the pro's go at it.

The way he attacked that first corner, and with you in passenger seat of YOUR car, must have been shot of adrenaline ! Thanks for sharing

Tom, I had no idea that was your car.
Will Billy come to California? Iā€™d be honored ;-)

I dont know. He is very gracious and dow. To earth. If you are ever at an event, stop by and say hello. Tell him what you are driving..... he's obviously a Ford guy and he made it a point to go around to our garage (which was dominated by mustangs) and chatted with all the drivers.
