Mine is only notchy going from 1st to 2nd (and that goes away once the trans is warm). Otherwise the BG fluid has made a very big difference. I usually skip shift from 1 to 3 in the mornings before it warms up, now that it's quite cold outside.

Anyone know what the recommended change intervals are for the diff and transmission fluid? I think I have about 12k miles on my BG fluids at the moment and was curious.

Ford has no interval on the OE fluid and it is meant to go 150,000 miles. That said, I would probably change the BG every ~60k with little or no track use, and 30-45k with some. This is comparable to most standard intervals.

I use the when it starts to feel notchy again rule. Road course use is a little more abusive on the fluid so I just drain it when it feels like it needs to be.

Street driving should allow you to run it a long time but I don't like any fluid being in the car for the times the factory says is ok. Ford even states for Road Course use to drain it every event. No one does this, it is excessive, I don't even change my engine oil every event.

Bought some BG but have not put it in yet. I don't really have a problem with the box once it warms up.

I didn't either, but it's much better when cold and buttery smooth when warm. I would do it the next chance you get.

If you guys were on the fence about ordering, now would be a good time. $25.00 off most of the BG Kits on our site with Coupon Code: BG2016 Offer is only good through 1/2/2017.
Do you do the changes at your location? I'm in Orlando and could make the trip.

Hi Sean, we do not at this time, the kit is fairly easy to do, if you can change your own oil you can handle this. If not I'm sure there are plenty of shops in the area that would be happy to do it for you.

The only thing trickier on this is getting the fill port loosened (particular set of tools needed), and then pumping the fluid in just takes time.

Optimum Performance - I just ordered the Combo pkg!
Today I put the BG fluids in both the tranny & rear-end. Went ahead and changed the oil too and put two new tires on tonight as well.

Precise is how I would describe the gear-changes now - another satisfied customer here :headbang:

tried RP Syncromax, and it did make the transmission a little smoother when the tranny was at operating temp. When temps were below about 55, not so much. BG Syncro Shift made an improvement even above the Royal Purple, especially the 1-2 shift. Mine still has "chatter" going into 4th when cold, but the BG is about the best you're gonna get. This kit is worth it.
