I put mine in yesterday and the drive home was the first time I had confidence shifting this trans. I have used royal purple in my Shelby and feel this was a much bigger improvement.

I bought 3 quarts for 83 dollars locally to put in when I do my exhaust this week. Wife complained about how bad the shifting felt so I got her approval to do it. Just need to pick up a pump.

Swapped fluids today. She shifts like butter and super happy I did this. The old gear oil came out nice and clean but the diff was sorta black. Used all the bgII supplied for the tranny...96oz at 2.8 liters. And almost all of the diff fluid by using the supplied dipstick( zip tie) thanks Tommy for the awesome instructions and the tools to make the swap easy as pie. The hardest part was getting my car on jack stands! Happy customer here
Get a set of Steeda jacking rails,a must have if you plan on doing ANY mods or
Maintance on your Mustang, makes life much easier.:)

BG Products Update - Warehouse Stocked Up

Just wanted to let everyone know we just received another stock order of BG Products into the warehouse. We now will be shipping our MT82 Syncro Shift II kits with one 2.8L bottle of fluid. This was the package we originally designed our kit around. Plenty in stock, ready to ship the same day. We are thrilled with the feedback we have been receiving on the improvements the Syncro Shift II has made in the MT82 transmission. We use it in our shop car and even in the heat during a track session it works flawlessly. Even a full day on track it still shifts great cold the next morning.

We also stocked up on cases the Ultra-Guard LS for our Rear Axle kits. These are compatible with all differentials in the S550 Mustang. It has all the additives for the Traction-Lok™ Limited Slip and TORSEN™ Differential. No additional additives required when you change it. The differentials run pretty warm in these cars and get hot when used in a road course environment. We supply a 75W-90 that is formulated for extreme heat and load. If you haven’t changed your rear axle oil yet you may be surprised by how bad it looks when you drain it for the first time.

Please remember that we offer an exclusive M6G Member Discount on our Combo Package, which includes both the MT82 Kit and the Rear Axle Kit. You save on shipping them together and also receive an additional $15.00 Discount when you enter M6GCOMBO at checkout. Our Kits all ship USPS Priority Mail so typically they are delivered to your door in 2-3 days anywhere in the Country.

You can purchase all our products from our WEBSITE we have added several more new products, and have some new product announcements coming soon!

Details of our BG Products can also be found on our M6G BG Products Page HERE

Thank you for the continued support.

@optimumperformance , just ordered one of your combo packs, not to help with shifting necessarily, but I have always changed initial fluids at around 1500 miles for the first time, hoping to get any initial 'crud' out of the systems. If it shifts better, just another plus...

Fluid Fill Levels

We wanted to clarify some confusion that may have been caused when we shipped one 96oz (2.8L) bottle vs one 64oz(1.8L) bottle with a 32oz(.946L) bottle.

We have sharp people on the forum that caused us to re-run our numbers for the proper fill.

Follow the instructions as delivered and you will be right on the money.

When you convert ounces to mL in either of the 2.8L packages of oil we supply = 96oz but technically 2839mL or 2.84L using the US Ounce conversion.

Now to add to the confusion Ford lists fluid capacity at 2.6L OR 2.7qts. Well this is not accurate, technically it equals 2555mL or 2.56L.

Fluids are packaged by Fluid Ounces and Liters. Rounding takes place. Ford Dealers are servicing the vehicle out of Quart bottles (32oz-.946L) so they are techinically installing 2.7qts or 2554mL + 27mL of additive=2581mL (2.6L)

We do not know how Ford Dealers measure out 2.7qts. Maybe some of them do, we can't say. They likely guess and in the real world it's close enough in most cases.

When we designed the kit we ran all these numbers back and forth to arrive at 7oz left over from 96oz. We used 2.8L - 2.6L(Capacity)=.2L (200mL)=6.7oz. That's why we give you a pre-marked cup with a range.

What does all this mean? Don't get hung up on the conversions. Our kit gives you an accurate method to install 2.6L into your transmission. A few ounces in either direction will not change the level enough to effect anything. Overfilling drastically may cause fluid to come out the vent when hot so stay close to the recommended levels.

Although your instructions are excellent IMHO, thanks for posting.

I still haven't swapped out my fluids due to lack of time. Hopefully next week. My plan was to pour out 7 Oz and put the rest into the transmission. As for the Torsen, I forsee no issues with the fluid swap.

I swapped my trans fluid out this past weekend from RP to BG. Thanks Optimum Performance, this made a huge difference.
I'm surprised it made a noticable improvement. I might start stealing these comments for our website. How long did you have RP in the car? RP and Amsoil make good products, I just know Ford Dealers use BG in their service department. If you could elaborate on what you noticed we would appreciate it. I want to bring this up with BG. Basically find out what they do that is different than the other guys.

RP did a good job and I had it in for around 3500 miles. I only have 6300 miles on my car lol. But the biggest improvement that BG made was shifting when the trans is cold. With RP, the shifts were still notchy until the trans warmed up. With BG, the shifts are smooth all of the time. I was surprised by the difference and waited a few days to comment until I drove my car some more.
