Ultimately I'm looking to bring my base GT to something that is more capable of a true track ready car. Suspension is #1, but cooling is really the first part in this case.

Story of my life. I followed @BmacIL s advice and went with bmr sp083 springs, ford performance track spring and struts (f-18000-m) with j&m rear shock mounts. It is the perfect setup. handles amazing, didn't cost a fortune and it's not too low for chicago potholes.Ultimately I'm looking to bring my base GT to something that is more capable of a true track ready car. Have you tried road racing an FI car with the stock base GT radiator?Save your money the OEM radiator is fine, even with FI.
I know this is a super old thread but did you have your fan settings tuned to turn on sooner?I dropped in the mishimoto radiator and cht's dropped from 230-250 to 190-210
Thanks for the comparison pic! Is that a non-PP radiator you are replacing?I swapped a couple weeks ago, won't know how well it works until summer
