Man I always come swinging no stranger to grudge racing .. Thanks for your opinion and all the other stuff you said. Why set it up for 1/4 if all you do is 1/8th mile? The setups are unique to each other and there are crazy people who spend years perfecting their 1/8th mile. You'll need something that hits Hard out of the gate and there's not much better than Nitrous or a properly sized PD blower.
Maybe with twin smalls you might hit hard enough out of the gate if you've got your suspension on point. Twins are out of my element but they build steam.
What's your Gear, tire and suspension? If you can lighten that front end just a bit, with a solid Nitrous kit you could dominate other full weight cars. IDK which Datsun you're you'ge going to race but I've seen V8 240's in the 4's so you better come out swinging with that fat Mustang, lol.
I've always thought of 1/8th mile racing like sitting in the dugout, getting called up and then told to sit back down, lol. I definitely respect the work those guys put into their cars though.
