Why set it up for 1/4 if all you do is 1/8th mile? The setups are unique to each other and there are crazy people who spend years perfecting their 1/8th mile. You'll need something that hits Hard out of the gate and there's not much better than Nitrous or a properly sized PD blower.

Maybe with twin smalls you might hit hard enough out of the gate if you've got your suspension on point. Twins are out of my element but they build steam.

What's your Gear, tire and suspension? If you can lighten that front end just a bit, with a solid Nitrous kit you could dominate other full weight cars. IDK which Datsun you're you'ge going to race but I've seen V8 240's in the 4's so you better come out swinging with that fat Mustang, lol.

I've always thought of 1/8th mile racing like sitting in the dugout, getting called up and then told to sit back down, lol. I definitely respect the work those guys put into their cars though.
Man I always come swinging no stranger to grudge racing .. Thanks for your opinion and all the other stuff you said.

Shitty Ohio weather. Haven’t been able to get to track. They keep canceling. I’m shooting for Sunday. Hopefully weather holds
Please share when you get a chance to make that pass.

The best power adder is the one that you consistently win with.

are all your races from a stop, if so traction is def a big thing to think about. my vortech makes about 1100 wheel and i can hook pretty decent from 2nd gear roll, from 1st year even it's hard on the street.

any power adder is good, you may need to be doing some 2nd gear leaves depending on traction

I was spinning leaving in 2nd at the track with bone stock suspension. Street unimagineable even without power adder. If i were you I'd look centri. Less at the hit, but comes on way strong once rolling. A ton of suspension and leave hard af will win a ton of 1/8th races, compared to big power, but can't do anything with it. I've had both extremes now.

Ok P1X was my first choice and now I just don’t know nitrous is looking good but not enough people with 18 doing it need more info .

Nitrous was fun once... once... Such a pita, and such much easier to tear shit up. People are like I'm on a budget so I'm gonna do nitrous. Then to do it right adds up quick without the $60 bottle refills all the time.

Only way I see nitrous working on the street even with suspension mods is hella delay it, or buy a progressive controller.

If you race regularly just with nitrous refills you end up filling the price gap between FI and a properly put together nitrous setup.

A long time ago i had an ls1 that had 2 separate nitrous kits . One wet. One dry . Leave on 200 and mid way thru 2nd hit another 200 on a button. Went 9.7 back in 2004 and could almost dead hook on no prep asphalt .

Dammit man if I could leave on 200 shot it would be tough to beat in the streets!
