I can see the higher numbers with an Ecoboost, but not the GT. The daily commute that produced my 25.5mpg was tested at 69mph, 73mph and 80mph and the MPG remained fairly consistent. When I was doing the highway cruising, my fill up would state 350 miles to empty.

I would like to see the display that shows a GT with greater than 30mpg, that also shows the time used on that tank, the miles driven, etc, like the screen shot previously that showed an 18 minute drive for 18 miles. But, that screen shot needs to be at 1/4 tank so we can see it, then show what the miles to empty shows at fill up!

Lifetime on mine is at 18.8. About 65% highway.. Trip b usually sits around 22.8 as I reset at the beginning of my work week.. I had an eco prior and it sat around 32. I don't drive like a grandma either.

Its very interesting how much technology has improved how efficient engines are now. More power, better MPG and less pollution.

I remember in High school my buddies 69 mach one that they put a 460 in and a holly dominator carb. 15miles would cost 5 gallons of gas...of course gas was 89 cents a gallon but still.

28.2 avg mpg here - and that is genuine - like not “resetting” the fuel history & fuel economy buttons for a “forum best”...

968:33 hours of drive time

LOL

My dash always reads about 1mpg higher than i'm really getting when I manually calculate after a fill up.

I get 16-16.5 mpg driving the way I normally drive (WOT all the time, shifting at 4-5k, numerous redline shifts, and a steady 85 on the highway) on my GT M6 with PP.

This week I kept the RPMs below 3500 when shifting in the city and kept her under 75mph on the highway and I averaged 19.3. Driving this way required a lot of restraint but i finally managed to get close to 300 miles out of tank. Not sure I can keep that up though. This car is way too fun to drive conservatively.

I have a 99 Honda civic as my A to B car for work
I bought a 2016 Tacoma for the family to haul around in and go on trips/off road
I am most definitely going to be buying a GT Fastback 6spd in the near future and I am most certainly not buying it for the gas mileage. Sorry if this is savage but I could care less what fuel economy I get out of the s550. Floor it!

I think my lifetime avg over 16k miles is 21.3 i do alot of hwy driving, and before some jackass says your not driving hard enough i drive like any other v8 ive owned, my old 5.0 on same routes was 18mpg with the 95 gt. I would never buy a mustang that didnt have 8!
