Actally, I didn't mean to start another endless x pipe vs h pipe debate.

Wasn't intended to be, just what is .

the steeda hands down has the best fitment if your going h pipe, on a gen 3

https://www.beefcakeracing.com/steeda-555-3619/

h pipes tend to be a little deeper than an x, x has a little more rasp , x will always make more power, not much diff in an n/a application, 2-4 hp, but as you increase power, the x becomes more noticeable, expecially in forced induction

here is the x option on a gen 3 as well

Ive had the Steeda h-pipe for a few months now and very happy with it. the stock clamps are holding fine. my only issue is that it came dented and I had to pound out the dent but not a big deal really. for the price its great. that corsa double h looks cool but not $600 cool.

Thanks for the info!

In general, do you know if there's a major sound diff. between 2.5" and 3" H-pipes when coupled with stock/active exhaust?
here’s the double-h paired with the stock exhaust to give you something to go off of. ☠🤘🏻

I have had excellent results with the sound and quality of my Mishimoto H-pipe.

That’s with the stock active exhaust? Comment in video says that’s with Corsa active exhaust.
Just trying to get clarification.

Steeda did a dyno comparison of their h and x pipe compared to the stock resonator. X pipe picked up everywhere and equalled the h pipe down low and beat out up top too. I think Gaines about 9rwtq and 8rwhp and around 15 in the 2000-4000 epm range.

I really like the MBRP X pipes. Running on my car. Check out mbrps videos of the x pipe on their cars. Sounds really good. Deep and throaty.

I went with the Steeda H based on materials used and quality of build. I'm sure I would have been just as pleased with any other quality built product using a good grade stainless steel.

No problems with my MBRP 3" aluminized h pipe. I spray painted it with high temp spray paint and it seems to be holding up great here in FL.

Love my Steeda H-pipe. Gives me the perfect deep sound i was looking for.
The only thing i would suggest is getting thicker walled band clamps. The ones that came with it would loosen over-time and cause the driver side tips to sag.

Here are a bunch of videos of mine. It sounds so much better under acceleration than revving.

Revving (track and quiet mode)

Low speed acceleration

Full throttle acceleration - outside

Drive by with downshift and WOT acceleration

I have been looking for the differences on H-pipes but couldn't really find anything other than their steel grades. Seems like the main options are 409 and 304.

There are so many brands selling H-pipe but i would like to know if the sound difference is really correlating with the volume and tone between these brands.

Steeda
Mishimoto
Roush
Corsa HH
Pypes
C&L
MRT
Accelatec
Or just a local shop HPipe

These are the ones I find so far. Prices vary from $130 to over $600 so it feels like there should be a lot of difference between these H pipes.

Please let me know if you think they don't make much of a difference, or if you think it does, which one is better.

Thanks in advance.
I got Steeda resonator delete H-pipe. Clamps are flimsy. Order a good pair like factory or Hooker. Got mine from Summit Racing.
