Hey so I just got kooks 1 7/8 catless headers installed on my 17 mustang. I love them but the only problem is I have corsa extremes and it's just way to loud. Anyone have some input on the best sounding and a quieter exhaust than what I currently have?

I’ve just been researching this topic, I’m gonna order the jones mf2469 to replace the resonator and keep it true 3” then step down to stock 2.5 axle back.

instead of replacing the whole system why not try adding a resonator? I believe Corsa makes one as well as Borla

I will definitely look into this. Do you have a link by any chance?

I'm on Borla s type comes with a small resistor before mufflers I also added vibrant resonators also I'm catted with stainless works headers also it's quiet on startup on quiet mode n while driving till u punch it. Then it gets very loud once u go headers it will be loud

Sorry to revive an old thread:

I'm looking at doing long tube headers, cat delete, add 1-2 resonators per side to take the annoying tones out of the exhaust, and retain the factory active exhaust mufflers, again in the attempt to take the "nasty/raspy/high notes" out of the exhaust tone while still (hopefully) experiencing a decent HP boost while NA, with the possible future addition of a Whipple SC.
I have also heard an H pipe might be better than an X pipe for removing the raspiness from the exhaust?

Does that Borla resonator/H-pipe (#60661) do a good job of this while maintaining better exhaust flow?
