He didn't say the area was demanding it, he said that's what the area would bring. So how about you be real and stop twisting words. WE ALL KNOW YOUR VEIWPOINT ON ADM...ITS OLD!!!
It really amazes me that if Ford made the car start at 70k but there was no ADM he would have nothing to complain about.

That sucks... especially knowing what we know... its not the area demanding that price.

Its the dealer.

Lets be real shall we.
Let's be real, it's the car. There is a reason that everyone saying they have MSRP or below deals are waiting on a call, or is getting promised something with no order yet. I just ordered another 2 today.

I am still a licensed rep for a local dealership and handle all their specialty vehicles like this besides owning my own company.

I built up a very large client base especially in the mustang community over 11 years.

So all your deals have an ADM - plus a BDM (Beefcake Dealer Markup)? :headbonk:

Already done. Just not Putin customer info or order numbers our there. Already got a call from our dealer rep that the order is being pulled Friday
You can simply black that out like you did on the first screen shot.

Give us something to drool over.

I don't accept that. In fact a lot of people just don't buy it. The car doesn't raise it's hands and speak to the public asking for more than its projected value is from the Manufacturer and neither does the surrounding population to any dealership.

Simply put...the dealer does. And its to this that I speak truthfully. Call it whatever you want. Ultimately its boiling down to the mind of one guy and his circle of peers agreeing to price the car over and wait for a whale to be landed.

The smarter consumer just looks on and shakes their head. And the Smarter dealers...will reap their business.

Sigh. Oh well. All we can do is wait and see.

As with anything else, buyers set the price. If buyers refused to pay ADM, there wouldn't be any ADM.

That's funny, because I don't recall any dealers calling me and asking "Hey buyer, what would you like the price to be on a GT350". ??? If they did adhere to your concept...we'd all be getting it at a far more attractive price that falls in line with the claims from Ford of the car being surprisingly affordable.

In reality. We set nothing. What the seller anticipates and projects is what that seller asks for. Regardless of what we want.

I don't expect to pay MSRP, but not invoice either. Time will tell what deals can be had. If I could split the difference between MSRP and invoice on a regular GT350 with the Track or Tech pack I'd be happy.

Absolutely wrong. If no one buys a car with an ADM, the price will fall to a level that's acceptable to a buyer. The dealers who refuse to respond the marketplace are called owners, hanging onto special vehicles sometimes for years - hoping that the one special buyer who has a different concept of the value of money than you or I will stroll through the door. Unfortunately, a lot of those buyers are strolling in the dealer doors now.

there are a lot of folks out there with a lot of money who will gladly pay more to not wait and have the car before others. Its a short term supply and demand issue, not a long term one however, especially not with 5 years of production planned and a GT500 already in the works
