Well, I know that mustang_lurkers said they're drawing a few names for all 29 until September 4th, so that's maybe why you haven't been notified if you won the slot or not...I think that I may have been the first overall.

My guy went to bat big time for me because I am redeploying pretty soon and want to get the car ASAP. The drawing was done on Tuesday and Wednesday he sent me the quote, and I went in that day to sign. The money I had on my GT with them will transfer directly over, but I know from the "contract" they had me sign that the minimum deposit is $3k and there's restrictions on you selling it within the first year if I remember correctly.

They're offering the base, Tech, or Track pack, they didn't get any R's. You could order whatever options within those specs. I ordered Magnetic with the blue OTT stripes and threw the car cover in too because of all the discounts. From my offer that I posted, it doesn't look like they're charging me for the stripes, and the gas guzzler tax isn't on there either, in addition to getting it below MSRP and with the $500 military rebate.

I would go and just lean on your guy and see if maybe he can pull a few strings...my rep said that if they know someone is serious and is ready to pull the trigger and put a lot down towards the car, then they will try to work with you instead of drawing name after name of E-2s & E-3s that put their name in and won't ever be able to pay for it. I'm an O-3 and had significant money down already on the GT, so there wasn't any doubts about my seriousness.

Good luck!!!
Thank you Sir. I am an E-4 and I know it is pretty crazy to make this purchase but I have been saving for some time just to buy this car. I'll remain positive, maybe I get lucky. Thank you for your quick response and I hope that everything works out for you Sir. My deployment ends in 3 months but I volunteered for another set of orders, would be nice to celebrate with a GT350 coming home. This is the first new car I buy for myself, and I am 29 :ford:

No sir necessary on here, we're all equal in the forum

If someone is smart with their money, then there should be no problem with affording this and making it work. Of course the stereotype is that the junior guys come over and blow their money on stupid shit from the vendors, eating out all the time, etc. but that's not indicative of everyone.

Fingers crossed for you, I know that I'm getting one, it's just a matter of when now...and I'll be 33 in a few months and this will be my first ever new car, and first car with anything bigger than a four-banger in it! :headbang:

Oh my :) Don't pull a "Z06 in to a tree" in it when you take it out for the first time. :)

Btw, thanks for your service....to all the Military and First Responders. I hope you all get a GT350 at a great price. I grew up a Navy brat in and around Groton, CT and submarines. Much respeck.

My Deposit is refundable... But My guess is that if someone doesn't raise their hand to flip this to...Then its on the table for negotiations once again. So, after THIS Saturday I'm pulling my deposit on a GT350 at MSRP where I live in PoDunk at one of the 3 dealerships I worked these deals at. If anyone is interested then after Saturday...you're on your own. I already have mine... one below and one at MSRP... so this one is a pay it forward.
Is this available still. Taking it as a legit statement.

Not planning on going super crazy with it until I get a feel for it and break it in...though it will be a lot different than driving the shitty manual trans Mitsubishi bus around my post here. :headbonk:

Yes....In fact as of 8PM today there are 2 as I found a fourth dealer selling for MSRP.
I'm talking with DeathMonkey about taking his deal, just curious if your MSRP deal is closer to Oregon. I plan to drive her home

I don't mind the $1000 but if I can avoid the miles I would like to.

Currently 2 options in PA. I went to pick up a beater truck for plowing the roads on my property this coming winter at another Ford Dealer and popped the question and they also have an allocation for a GT350 they will sell at MSRP if I'm interested....

So for you it would still be a road trip to get it home. I pull my deposit on the other one tomorrow. It turns out in my quest to find an "R" for a buddy that I keep overturning stones covering MSRP deals for the GT350 non "R". That's four thus far. Two of which I'm keeping.

I am at this point finding it difficult to understand why everywhere else this is a problem??? Unless in PoDunk where I live its just what the Market demands???

So I signed my final buyer's offer today, and they said that the car already has an official Ford factory order number! I am seeing if they can put pressure on the factory to get it built and delivered for the middle of September when I should be getting home!

The only change was they did catch that the stripes weren't charged on the quote, but there's still no GG tax, so with all the discounts I'm still saving over $3k off the MSRP!

Being as the Gas Guzzler Tax is required by US dealers is there a chance that you'll have to pay it on delivery? Much like sales tax isn't quoted, but you'll have to pay it back in the states.

I don't think I'll have to, because I asked my rep and he said he didn't know anything about it. Plus, it's a federal tax, and being I am purchasing it through the Exchange while overseas should make it federal sales tax exempt. I would think I don't have to, otherwise I'm not really saving too much vs. MSRP back in the States. We'll see when I pick it up though!
