My Bullitt is ready for winter storage. Any recommendations on a good battery tender? I don't need a top of the line WiFi model nor do I want to buy a cheap $20 model either. It's very confusing looking at all of the choices and trying to figure out which is best.

Use battery tender JR. does the job just fine, been using them 8 years. I have a 4 bank battery tender actually on my wall. charges mustang and a couple motorcycles all at same time. but til then I used the 20 dollar ones on amazon, never had a battery fail me.

It may be cheap, but it literally has saved me hundreds of dollars in batteries, and just works. the 4 bank system is same thing but in a single configuration. No reason to pay anything more than this. just because its 24 doesn't mean its junk.

there's a couple upgraded options on this page, if you go down and click on the other boxes.

I personally use this now, instead of using multiple single chargers on my bikes and cars, I use this

I've been slave driving the 4 bank charger for almost 5 years now, hasn't missed a beat.

+1 for the Battery Tender Jr. Comes with 2 ways to hook up the battery, alligator clips or more permanent install with ring terminals. It's all you need for a single car battery.

I paid a little more for a quality and smarter charger: An Optimate6, which has a desulfating cycle. BT+s can reportedly fry batteries when left connected indefinitely, but haven't personally known of any cases. I've owned many chargers, and I like Optimates the best. I kept a CTEK MUS4.3 charger for its aggressive desulfating cycle, but don't like CTEKs much, even though Ferrari includes them as standard equipment (with a weird connector). If you need many, then those multi-BT+ stations make sense, I guess.

I have no way to plug one in where the car is parked, is there one that does not require a plug in ? In other words you recharge it where you have a power outlet.

I have one of these for the Corvette and one for the Mustang. The Corvette has spent the better part of two years hooked up. I like that Chevy built a 12v port (similar to a cigarette lighter) in the hatch that allows you to plug into, and then the hatch closes on the cable with no issues. I'm sure the Battery Tender and many others work just as well.

honestly, don't see any point to buy any other product. I did buy a 10amp charger but that's for flashing/etc so car won't die. but for maintenance, battery tender jr is one of the top dogs. if not top for consumer battery tenders. its all my motorcycle and car friends use locally, all the dealerships sell them etc. they use them and everything

maybe i'm burnt out after 2020...but if my battery is outside of the car; how do I use the BT Jr?

positive clip to +, what the hell do I do with the negative clip? Says something about an extension cable?

Just use the alligator clips to connect directly to the battery terminals. Attach red to positive and black to negative. Attach the battery tender cable and plug the tender into an outlet. It does come with instructions too. So check that for specific details.
