Basic Timing Question when Logging

When monitoring and/or logging timing:

Is the SPARK PID the actual timing being achieved, or is the actual timing the sum of SPARK and KKNOCK (similar to the fuel trims)?

Also - what is the difference between SPARK and SPARKADV?

"SAFTOT" is the total timing advance after the knock sensors. At least on the nGauge
