Do you think a 1 inch will work? the set I am looking at comes with a 1 inch. I want to try and put Morel Tempos in.

You can definitely use 1 inch. You might need to be creative with the mounting, but I'm sure there has to be a way to make it fit. Tweeters are always tricky like that, some require a bit of custom work to make them fit. You might need to do some trimming, but it's really hard to say, depends on the design and what mounting hardware it comes with.
