Reverse lockout is fine, and indeed a needed thing. Obviously, we have no first-hand experience with the new shifter really, but I'm used to the "push down on the shifter to get it into reverse" tactic and think that I'd prefer that over the lockout mechanism used in the 2015.

That thing looks awesome!! :headbang:

It feels awesome too! I haven't been able to race with it yet, might get the chance Saturday the 27th if all goes according to plan. I've drive a Tremec Magnum-equipped S197 and they are easily comperable to a Blowfish racing bracket-equipped MT-82.

Nice!! So used to a TKO-600 that the link type shifters have worried me a bit.

Bump! Can't wait to see what you guys come up with. Loved the shifter/bracket on my 11!

Edit -- Sorry, this is a Barton thread. I'll take my questions to PMs.

We will more be retaining the reverse lockout for the 2015 shifter.

X a gagillion

Barton Industries, any chance you can make this happen or is it even possible for the aftermarket to do this?

I'm used to all different types now. my Mitsubishi Cordia had the push down type. my BMW 328ci I has the push through type. my wife's Hyundai Veloster has the pull up type retaining ring.

Looks like the choice for an AM shifter just got hard to make. Barton and MGW are putting some serious effort into these S550 shifters.

I'd love to see that installed to get a better sense of the design. Looks damn cool there, big thing to compete against MGW with would be price and the fact that it appears to include a driveshaft safety loop.
