Let me start by saying I ordered a bama tune as a simple starter tune for e85 until I can get the car to someone who can dyno tune it. On my first call to tech support I'm told that they can only tune up to a 100 wet shot. Ok I understand that with a mail order tune data logs can't be seen or afr so it's better to stay safe. No problem. Then I'm told with e85 they won't tune nitrous at all. Again ok. So I order the tune just to get the car drivable. I fill out the questionnaire in the comments. I stated I need one e85 and one 91 octane race tune tuned for 100 hp wet shot if nitrous. Seems fairly straight forward so far. 8 days go by I get an email from them saying they can't tune e85 with nitrous. I reply explaining what I need. Later on another email stating their "race" tune is all they will tune for nitrous. I reply again ok send me one e85 tune and one "race 91 octane tune". Another day passes and another email asking if the car has 47lb injectors for e85. All of this was explained in the comment section of their form.
Has anyone else had any problems with tuners such as this? It's 9 days later and still no tune.
Hey Matt,

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble and this is definitely not what I like to hear.

I'll cut to the chase- I will make sure you are 100% taken care of.

Shoot me over a PM with some more info, your order #, and your contact info, and I will have you smiling again.

All the miscommunication doesn't instill a lot of confidence..but I'm sure they will get it sorted out for you. Sucks to be the one "lost in the shuffle" as others have had good experiences with BAMA. Good luck and I hope they get everything to you soon (and hope it's right)!

PM Alex or Will And see if they can expedite it for you.
Thanks for the shout Need, we'll make sure he is taken care of!

I actually requested a E85 tune from them 2 weeks ago. got an email back with my ticket number but haven't gotten my Tune Email yet.. its actually been 3 weeks this Friday. well its 2am.. so yeah I guess its been 3 weeks today.. I've yet to hear back with my new tune for E85
Hey Mike,

I'm sorry to hear about this delay also and it is definitely not the norm.

Shoot me over a PM and I'll get it straightened out right away.

Ok, I am 8 emails and automated responses into an attempted tune update using my datalog file. Began the process on 12 May, and so far all I have gotten is the same out of the box tunes I received with the X4 initially.

All this even after messaging AMAlexLazarus per his request in a previous thread.

Lifetime tunes do not mean much if the actual process of getting a log file evaluated and tune tweaked takes multiple emails, an order on American Muscle's site, a form filled out on Bama's site, datalog files sent to multiple people, and no reply other than autoreplies.

I think AM/Bama has outgrown the personalized customer service sized business. Good on them, but not good for me.

Giving Lund a call tomorrow.

Hey man!

So sorry to hear about this and it's definitely not what we like to hear! Unfortunately it is Bama's busiest time of the year but the time you have waited is definitely not right!

Please shoot me over a PM and I will be sure this get's handled ASAP!

I wonder how all this is going to turn out. AM is a big company, they should be on top of the game.

Just read this and I was 100% on bama for my tunes. Now i'm torn

Hey - I'll be the first to admit that no one company is perfect and mistakes will happen but this is a process that isn't going to happen within an hour. Bama tunes "Many" Mustangs and their team has been literally working around the clock writing tunes and datalogging with their customers. I can't stress it enough that these things take time and you'll see other vendors say the very same. Will and myself are working their customers right now to have this fixed.

all I want in my tune is to have my clutch protection system turned off. and to have my Race tune be an E85 tune, and the 93 race tune I have right now to be made as my performance tune. I love bama but it only took me like a week tops to get my tune for my 2012 a couple years ago. the turn around time for getting that thing retuned was nothing. and here its been almost a month

Hey Mike - I tracked down your order info and pieced through your tickets with Rob - Your last tune that was sent out (E85 AS WELL!) Has Clutch Protection off on your race tune and Bama now has this disabled on all of their Race Tunes. If you have any questions or I missed something let us know!
