Well with it being the weekend... I didn't receive my tunes, was contacted by a senior calibrator, told I have a vacuum leak... I searched and searched, sprayed brake cleaner, pulled vacuum lines and got nothing... Threw it on the dyno, ran the original nitrous tune they sent for a hundred shot... I had a bigger fuel jet on their so I ran a little rich. Pulled 446 with the nitrous and 377ish I believe without the bottle on... Something isn't adding up... More to come.
Hey Maui-
Bama again.....posted above asking to speak with you so we could try and resolve any issues but you did not respond or DM (we am going to DM you now...please respond). Looking at the graph, the car has some bad clutch slip and/or is blowing the tires off down low but that does not mean there are not improvements to be made elsewhere.

Hoping you respond so we can help you out

Little hesitant

I bought a bama sct tuner and got the 93 performance and 93 race tunes . only mods are catback. Both tunes were giving me Detonation in 6th gear low to mid rpm under mid to hard throttle acceleration. I called them after requesting 92 octane tunes to replace them thinking ok maybe gas is bad although I run Chevron.

They asked me to data log it. I don't want to risk it with pinging going on I reflashed to stock and ordered steeda tunes. What do you guys think?

This seems like a Bama problem not AM. I see Alex bust his ass on here constantly for people and go way above and beyond, thats why they have my business.

Hey Maui-
Sounds like you spoke to our Lead Calibrator and are getting things sorted out....he told us the tune was written for the Airaid intake, as it comes from Airaid, but the person you purchased it used from had cut out the "reduction sleeve" out. This is not really common, thus the issues you are experiencing but it sounds like you two hit it off and will be getting some logs to dial this beast in

You don't need to worry about knock unless it's at WOT. It's typical to have the sensors pull some timing at low RPM under high gear and throttle inputs. All of my Bama tunes have been on the conservative side. No knock, and rich AFR's.

Interesting that so many in here have had similar problems. I'll contribute mine.

Ordered intake and tuner combo from AM. Waited a couple weeks. Didn't hear anything. Got ahold of them. They said they never got the info for my tune. BS. I said check again. They came back and said something happened where it didn't register but they did have it. Okay cool.

Then I get an email asking if i have 47lb injectors. I do not. Can't do the e85 tune. Doh! My bad. Okay just do 91 for everything. Finally everything shows up. Go to install intake. As soon as I open the box, something doesn't look right. Sent intake for 2014. Have to send it back. Get new one. Install. Go to put on tune. e85 is the race tune. Doh again. 3 issues on 1 order? Come on man!

Guess i'll jump on the band wagon as well. I got a BAMA tuner with custom tunes back in July. Originally had a tune written for just the JLT intake and MBRP catback... the tune worked great. I recently added StainlessPower catless long tubes with the 3" bottleneck eliminator from BeefCake and I ordered a tune revision. I uploaded the tune after the headers were installed and the car ran like complete crap. It was idling so rough it almost sounded cammed... I tapped the gas and the throttle response took a second then after the initial rev it sounded like the car was about to stall.. I loaded the old tune back on and the car worked fine. Tried to upload the revised tune again hoping the flash was bad, but same results. This time it was revving by itself at 2k RPM and kept climbing towards 3k and wouldn't drop so i needed to just shut the car off mid-rev. I emailed them late Wednesday night telling them what was wrong. Didn't get a reply until late Thursday afternoon stating my tune request was going to the next level.. Didn't get an update so i sent an email requesting an update yesterday at 8am. Still nothing so I sent in an email form requesting an update again today. I was dissapointed when i got a tune that ran like complete crap, but i figured i should give them a chance to correct it. Now almost a full week later and I not only don't have a new tune, but no update as well.

The only confusing part that has had me thinking is the computer code. Bama gives these directions to identify the computer code:
https://support.bamaperformance.com...ter-Code-Identification-by-Year-1987-Present-

But then Beefcake/Lund say this:
http://www.teambeefcakeracing.com/lura20fomucu.html

Looking at the photo from beefcake, i sent in the "CAN1" for my tune since thats what BAMA says they need, but according to Beef, they really need the "EFB"? Definitely confusing since there are two very different sets of directions. But regardless, I sent the same code fr the revised tune as i sent in for the original tune which worked fine.

Hey Man-
Sorry about the delays and confusion. Shoot us a DM with your info so I can look into and figure out what is going on.

All my Bama tunes have run well. I do want to get a revision for my E85 tune and compare it to my Lund.
