I was thinking about purchasing these front and rear. Main reason is the weight savings. I have just ordered lighter wheels and I have read each front is 10lbs lighter and rears around 6. That's around 32lbs lighter. Anyone have experience advise? Will these also be an improvement over PP rotors and work well with the Brembos?

I just ordered the rears for the same reason. I thought about the fronts but damn are they expensive. I ended up ordering the Aerospace street front brake kit when they had their sale a bit ago. I got the whole front brake set for about the same price as just the Baer front rotors. This brake kit shaved 60lbs off the front of the car, no sh!t. I will say of course they will only be good for normal street driving and drag racing as the rotor is reduced to a 13", the calipers 4 piston, and the brake pads about a third the size but so far it stops just fine for my use. I will keep the PP brakes in case I want to try course racing and if I have a scary panic stop situation maybe I will sell them and try the Baer front rotors instead. I can tell the difference with that 60lbs gone from the front end though and have done hard brake hits from over 120mph with out issue. Another benefit is I can run a 17" front wheel if I like with these brakes. My car is mainly a weekend street brawler mixed with occasional drag strip trips so this setup fits my needs so far. Still a little on the fence about the reduced effectiveness of the brakes in a panic stop situation though.

By the way, if you do order them I got mine from Autoanything. They had 10% off so that helped a bit with the cost. I got the rears for $539 shipped.

Thank you for the information. Giving up the Brembo's is out of the question. It is one of the main reasons I went with the PP. I would only want the Eradispeed if they were equal to or better that the PP brakes.

That beats CJ's $700!

I can understand that, although there are a lot of other good reasons for the PP as well. As I said I am a bit on the fence about it as well since I do really like the crazy bite the PP brakes offered for safety reasons when really getting on it through the turns or behind someone. I would imagine the Baer rotors would be every bit as good for initial bite since that is mostly in the rotor diameter and pad/caliper size. The fact that they're cross drilled and slotted should afford more heat dissipation. I believe most of the weight loss is due to the hat being made of aluminum with the 2 piece design. I don't know if the rotor itself is not as thick which could also reduce weight but heat up faster. Hopefully any reduction in mass will be balanced out by the drilled and slotted surface. I look forward to your thoughts if you get them and anyone else's feedback.

I had them in my cobra. took of 32lbs like your quoting . I felt it made a bit of a difference and I swear by this mod. lol with the brakes and light wheels you should love it. they were a lot cheaper for the cobra though as compared to our s550's...... That's the only thing holding me back on the 16 ..... the full set for the cobra was cheaper than just the fronts for s550.
