Thinking out loud …
Got a black 2020 GT 5.0 auto PP1.
It’s being delivered tomorrow from carvana! I usually murder all my cars all black but this time I’m not sure. If I put black 5.0 and GT badges you can’t see them at all and then it looks like an eco boost. But I hate chrome so my idea is scotch bright pad em and make them look like brushed nickel anyone tried this yet? Opinions please?

I think satin/brushed badges would look great! It might be tricky to scuff the factory ones since they're plastic.

You could go bronze too. With Ford releasing a bronze package for S650, I would bet there will be bronze badges for sale soon (if not already).

I actually saw this color combo in a for sale add and now I can’t find the car!!! It’s a killer look!

I also happen to be partial to the black/bronze look…

Hmm didn’t know they were plastic ! Lol maybe it would still work if I use a scotch bright pad … or maybe take them off and paint dark grey ?

I'm pretty sure they are. Try searching google. There might be a way to scuff plastic chrome emblems safely.

Mine is black with black badges. I don't think anyone is thinking it's an ecoboost. These are pictures from the dealer before I removed all that gingerbread decals on the windows and the louvers on the side windows.

Yes they are plastic and be careful when removing them, they will bend/break if you don’t get the glue warm enough. Ask me how I know LOL

I love it!

For my car, I’m all about a chrome/polished accent, but I think brushed nickel would look cool. If it were “real” metal, I’d hit it with media blaster for a firearm type finish, but I dunno about plated plastic.

Carefully placed red accents look killer on dark cars. I also tend to be very old-school and prefer cubic inch badges rather than liters. Is the 5.0 a 302 ? 307? 317(5.2)? These numbers are historically relevant, differentiate the displacement adjustments that have occurred with the coyote, and are very American.

The 2020 GT is 5038cc or 302ci.

That's what's listed in Ford's spec chart but if you run it through a conversion calculator it's a bit over 307ci. Hmmmm.

If you do it based on bore X stroke, it’s 302
