Bad day for someone

I’ve seen this Mustang parked on the street for a while now, but not like this.
I came across this just after it happened a few days ago. The one who hit it was tossed up onto past the sidewalk. Ugly to look at but nobody was seriously hurt that I could tell.

Thats how my 15 ecoboost got totaled. kid turned 21, hit and ran my mustang and my friends car and his wife car. totaled all 3. he made 2 miles away then his vehicle caught on fire. Lol oil trail all the way there.

Ya this car has been there over a week.
I was hit while parked on a busy street. Drunk driver at 10am, almost took me out.

my usaa paid me 5-6k over value because the other party wouldn't admit fault, the kid said his uncle lent him the truck for birthday, uncle denied it, their insurance initially denied the fault saying he didnt have permission, so I was paid out handsomely.

They later admitted the kid had permission, and they accepted fault, usaa sent them the bill for all $ spent out, the company sent me a bill asking like 5-6k back saying it was over paid LOLOLOL. I told usaa and they said ignore it, we have a team of lawyers to squash them.

anyway- nothing happened to the kid, he was out of jail same day, no charges no anything, the judge gave him some defensive driving course and didnt charge him a dui. such bogus. I assume if uncle kept denying it, the kid would of been charged with theft/etc. so that made them accept.

I swear if I ever did a single crime, id be locked up and made an example out of.

I got hit like that at a stoplight. My car got thrown about 100 feet into a gas station. Some guys at a bar across the street pulled me out of my car before it went up in flames. I spent several weeks in a hospital and I never knew how lucky I was until months later.

I got t boned on my 21st bday at 45mph at intersection, she hit me, went flying she rolled down hill etc. the door caved in and broke a rib of mine. but I had adrenaline and was able to climb out and go help pull her out of her van that flipped tons down a large hill, unbuckled her pulled her out.

she sued me. but there was a witness who saw the accident fortunately for me. (she was pregnant and lost it) claimed it was my fault and that I ran a red-light, etc.. just awful situation.

My friend had his 2015 Audi RS5 destroyed the exact same way. Street parking is reserved for cars you don't care about only.

Some of the stories told in this thread are awful. I'm glad everyone was okay. I've only been in 1 accident going around a traffic circle at very low speeds and the person entered the traffic circle after I was already in it and hit me.

Summary of this thread... Don't park on the street unless you have to. If parking on the street, buy a few cement barricades to put in front of and behind your car.

Summary of this thread... Don't park on the street unless you have to. If parking on the street, buy a few cement barricades to put in front of and behind your car.

then when someone hits it and gets hurt, they will sue you even though the barricades on your property. Someone put those GIGANTIC rocks beside a mailbox in my neighborhood. People kept running into their mailbox in winter and breaking them. So along came a gigantic rock, well a car slid in winter (way too fast) and slid into their rock/mailbox. and destroyed totaled the car.

I dont know full story, but the owner was held responsible for totaling the car insurance wise from what I understood. Heck, criminals literally have gotten hurt robbing or breaking into peoples homes and sued the owner. It blows my mind.

I was rear ended by a drunk doing 90mph, lucky I was doing over 50 and lucky he didn't make it into the busy intersection he was headed for.
Had to chase him down after he drove into a almond orchard. Found him passed out when a farmer and I caught up to him. Totaled my expedition, no license, no papers, no insurance, he was let go the next day. USAA reimburse me well for the value of my expedition.

That's why I only park my car in the garage, with the door closed with selected anti-personnel mines surrounding it.

Anybody mess with my car and they are turned into bacon bites.
