I thought I should reach out to the company that I used to upgrade most of my lights on my current (until Nov.) Genesis Coupe to see what they have for an LED replacement to the backup light. Here's what they have http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/led-bulbs/listed-by-size/3156.html

Definitely case by case; like more than a few people on gencoupe, I too got screwed over by them and had to fight to get my money back for crappy non-working products. Of all the online vendors Ive used, they are by far the worst.

From now on I will stick with ijdmtoy.com for my lighting needs...

I would think it is pretty bright to notice it but there are idoits out their that like to be right on your rear though

It doesnt look very bright so if I end up with a 5.0, I will probably get an aftermarket LED light. Looks better anyway.

Yep looks bright enough to me while staying low enough not to be an eyesore. It's actually not that small so I would not want it to be mounted too high.

Does anyone know how the rearview camera works at night? Does a bright reverse light help by illuminating the ground area behind the car?

My 2013 Taurus has a BU camera and its quality is remarkably good. At night the contrast and screen image is much better than my girlfriends 14 Nissan Pathfinder. I think it's a better camera than most.

I've noticed that. My wife's 2012 Edge the camera is crazy good quality.

The V3 Triton will be the brightest, most usable PnP LED you can buy for it. Short of doing a full LED build, this will be the best option.
