Hi all!
There’s been a recall on the Mustang which includes my 2020 pp2. But I have a Lund tune back in March 2023 which has to be removed, dealer request, upon fixing the recall which has to do with the car computer. I reached out to Lund and they sent me the stock file, but I think I need to be a bit clearer before proceeding to start with this process. That’s why I am reaching out for, perhaps, a more defined or polished help. I have attached 3 photos as far as the process I started, but didn’t proceed. Thank you for any help!

Best regards,
Mgt2

Damn. 😳

Literally was going to say skip the stealership & recall altogether but that is one I would not miss! 🤣

I think i'd tell there's a brake fluid leak before needing a sensor to tell me there is, but obviously you can understand Ford wanting to get ahead of this oversight.

The restore file should be your stock file.

i have the same year mustang with the same recall order. my car is also tuned due to LTH and CAI. i will not take my car into ford to have this repaired due to the fact that i do not need a light to tell me that the brake fluid is low. i am fully aware of my cars fluid levels. i would not dich the tune , for me i can not go back to stock because the car would not function. IMO

Just ran into this today , when tech starts an IDS session they need to do a manual VIN input then select aftermarket calibration . Then they can configure or recalibrate the BCM .

Well, when I took it in this past Friday for the recall I didn’t know that it was involved the computer reading. That’s when the tech told me that because of the tune he couldn’t access the computer to complete the recall issue. I do have a Roush cold air intake without insert though, but was able to remove it and getting ready for the appointment, after removing the tune, put back the insert, the car is running good.

There is no rush from what has been said in the recall sub-forum. I will wait until the Spring unless Ford can send a mobile tech as some have had with their cars.

Guess that one hasn't come in the mail for me. The one I keep getting bugged about is the side curtain air bag.

Do you guys think the tech took it off before performing the remediation for the recall?
No, Lund locks the computer. Not even Ford can access it.
