Just trying to give back by rounding up all of the information I have on the B&O. Could I get some assistance filling in the missing details?

Amp/DSP:
Conflicting information between Ford Media and B&O.
  • First-ever B&O PLAY premium audio system for Mustang now available, delivering 1,000 watts of audio power through 12 high-performance speakers for ultimate sound experience. - Ford Media - Source
  • The premium B&O Sound System features 12 speakers including 4 x 170mm woofers and a trunk mounted subwoofer delivering incredible low frequency performance powered by an impressive 900 watts. With 3-way speakers in the doors and audio tuning specific to the demands of the Ford Mustang, the B&O Sound System delivers unique power and passion. - B&O - Source

Tweeters are 4 ohm, 3.5” are 8 ohms, midbass doors are 4 ohm and rears are 4 ohm. Verified with my own OEM B&O speakers and a multimeter.

I wonder if there was a hardware change at some point. My Mach 1 rear speakers are clearly marked 2 ohms.

After looking at what feels like hundreds of photos of wrecked Mustangs and their speakers, I can say that the B&O system has four unique speakers compared to other Mustang systems. I also have a B&O amplifier on the way to dissect.

The only difference I’ve noticed between speakers is B&O has paper cone 6.5” and poly 3.5”. Those are reversed in the base 9 speaker cars, at least in 2017 models.

@Evolvd, do you still have the B&O speakers lying around? I'd like to double-check the part numbers I recorded. My Mach 1 was built during peak COVID, and I'm starting to wonder if there was a part substitution for the rear 6.5 speakers.

If you can't find the part numbers, let me know and I will take mine out of the boxes in the garage and post the numbers.

Edit, they weren't hard to get to but since my eyes aren't the greatest, here are pics of the back of the woofer for the doors and pic of the rear speaker, which weighs much less than the door speaker.
