Anybody have a review for the B&O Play system? I have heard some complaints about Shaker Pro and was wondering if the new system is any better.

I don’t think anyone has a 2019 in possession yet to even comment

^ Exactly. Only Fords currently with B&O are the 2018 F150s I believe. You'd have to head to a Ford dealer and check out the audio in an F150 Lariat, Platinum, King Ranch or Raptor. All the other Ford vehicles are getting optional B&O for 2019.

I thought Ford started delivering 2019's. Hopefully someone will be able to post a review soon.

Looks like 5.0Johnny from Toronto just received his 2019. Hopefully he will post a review of the stereo and the rev matching soon.

Yep, I asked him about it, and his early impression was that it sounded "amazing".

As a big Audio fan I have been wondering this as well. And I really doubt how it sounds in an F-150 matters at all, as I’m sure it’s a different system. I have loved my Sony Premium System in my ‘14 Fusion, I’m just hoping the B&O is at least as good.

Very interested in the new system myself. Subbing in hopes of a reply down the road when new owners start taking delivery.

I am curious about how the bass carries through the cabin with the back seats up seeing as the sub is placed all the way at the rear of the trunk. I know bass is omni directional, but will it sound crisp with the rear seats up?

I'm curious if it will retrofit.

Not easily. Comparable to digital dash upgrade or 8" screen to a base car.
What makes you say this? if it uses the same amp as the "premium" audio, just like the shaker and premium shared, it should be an easy hardware swap. Not sure if the equalizer tuning is different though.

I am assuming that the drivers aren't a drop-in replacement (hole size e.g.), the amp could very well be different, wiring harness could be different, etc, etc. Even the head unit may be different on the inside.

Plus the price of the replacement system could be a lot more than $900.

Well, I'll agree with you about it being cost prohibitive. I doubt they will change the cutouts though. I'm gonna bet they use the same 6.5 and 3.5 sizes. The tweeter I can see fhem moving from 3/4 to 1 in, but that that's as drastically changes I'm betting we'll see. I don't think they're going to move to 4 by 7 or 4 by nines or anything. Im less confident that the amp will remain the same, but I'm still gonna say it will remain unchanged, which will leave the wiring harness unchanged. I could be very wrong here because they use a super goofy layout currently in my opinion, the way the 3.5s and tweets are wired in series for instance. It will prob use slightly different processing, but that may be a forscan changeable thing. Time will tell.
