My first post after 500 miles of ownership on my new 2019 Bullitt - it's all about that bass.
I love this car. It's a lot nicer than my previous 2013 GT. Ford did a really nice job with the features, the engine sound, how it drives, all the adjustable settings and I feel the transmission is vastly improved over the 2013 GT. But the 2013 GT Shaker Pro Audio was much more livable subwoofer arrangement than this B&O sub system.
I've replaced many factory systems over the years, had thumping subs installed in many cars, in fact went out of my way to add subwoofers to cars that didn't have them, so I'm a bass fan, but not in this car.
The B&O sub is dumping too much bass over the rest of the mids and highs for my taste - it's muddy and overpowering the rest of the system. If there were a subwoofer adjustment in the settings, i would simply turn it down a little. but there isn't one that i can find, so I boosted the treble (almost max) and mids (about 75%) and set the bass is at it's minimum setting. it's just not sounding that good to me.
Is there a subwoofer adjustment control in settings? Maybe a hidden one using ForScan?
Would unplugging one of the sub's dual voice coil connections lower the sub output?
Would replacing the sub with a dual voice coil 4-ohm high-quality sub, clean up the bass, without adding volume?
Thanks
