I'm not making stuff up got it right from the shop manual. Read the thread OEM Diff cooler install. Even wiring and fault codes. if you have base or tech 2015-16 You don't have diff temp sensor, limp mode would come from tyranny getting hot on track days. The circuit seems robust to me, a pulse modulated pump is used with a shaft speed sensor feed to PCM. It could even be variable speed, the PCM sends a square wave to control pump speed. Although we've only seen one pulse width. it may run at startup to do system check but not confirmed
