Was the original A-pillar easy to remove (and was the AM piece easy to reinstall)?

How do you like those gauges? Do they dim down at all, like as in, tied to your factory dimmer switch?

The original pillar is held in by a few clips and it pops right out. It was a little tricky positioning the new pod and aligning the clips but it fits great and looks even better. The gauges themselves are pretty damn impressive and since they are scan gauges you simply plug them into the OBD2 port and viola! No need to splice any wires and you have access to many different parameters which is extremely nice. They do have a dimming feature but i don't find them to be too bright. Been pretty busy lately but will try to grab some better pictures this weekend. Highly recommend this pillar pod for anyone who is considering it! The instructions that come with it are pretty spot on as well!

Was wondering how you got two gauges hooked up? Done they each need the obd2 port?
Nope! The dual package comes with an OBDII plug with two separate cables out of it. See the picture on the bottom right.

The back part of an ngauge is the correct size, they will fit. I have seen it myself in person.

Trimming is required for the bezel. The back will fit though.

I installed a single Autometer Pod over the holidays, and it fit pretty well.
I used a single aeroforce gauge

I really like this option.

This placement actually makes a lot more sense than the center console layout of the PP gauges. Easier to look at and use.

Does anyone have any recommendations on the best autometer gauges for the S550 in terms of meshing with the visual style of the oem gauges?

I was hoping to pick up a boost and either oil pressure (assuming it works on a non PP car), water or fuel temps.

sorry to revive a dead thread. I just installed a single gauge pod pillar, but it came with the wrong size screw; anyone know what size the screw is supposed to be?
