I have had the same problem but figured out what it is. You are hitting the mode button on the steering wheel with the palm of your hand. We were almost certain that was it so we used a go pro to verify that it was happening.

I totally believe something like that oculd happen BUT, I experienced an actual error in the computer. The car flipped a warning saying drive modes unavailable and defaulted out to Normal mode. I couldn't change the modes back until I shut 'er down and fired the car back up.

I had the same problems with my PP car until I did the following.

Before disabling traction control place the car in track mode and then firmly depress the brake pedal, activate the E brake and then touch nothing accept the traction control button. If you move the car in any way including moving the steering wheel, close a door or hood, anything, the traction control will not completely deactivate.

That is TOUCHY...

I hold the brake in when I disable TC but I certainly may move the steering wheel around every once in a while.

EDIT: why the hood? There's nothing electronic that touches it. There's not a hood sensor that I'm aware of.

The only thing I can figure is that the motion sensors don't like the shock that run thru them when the hood is closed.

I use regional SCCA sites as well as Motorsportsreg.com.

Good feedback on the electrical glitch. I'll try the suggestions as I too had the computer tell me the drive modes were unavailable. Amazing how much slower and sluggish the car is in normal mode.

Where do you go to find autocross events in your area?
Down here in So Cal, we have practice on Saturday before Sunday race day.
You can sign up for practice only, but it fills up quick, everyone is super cool and will help you out if you want. There's a "Instructor" lane where you can have them drive your car or they will ride along, your choice.
You don't need numbers or anything on Saturday, just run what you brung.
Once you go you will be addicted.

Glad to see lots of likeminded individuals... ;)

Can not wait to bring mine out, hopefully the snow clears! I had Bridgestone RE-11s on my 2011 GT and they did wonders for my times. Going to stick with the stock PSS but I know I'll end up getting 305 RE 71rs eventually...

My first race is April 16. I'm so antsy. I still need to install some parts too. And by that I mean...all of them lol.

I'm looking at tires here and I'm having second thoughts on 71R's. The new Hankook R-S4 might be a ringer .
