Auto Door Lock?

I don't recall the exact sequence but my car definitely locked the doors all by it's little self.. I *think* I had the engine idling w/the key inside and I left the car... I came back and the doors were all locked. I had to use the emergency door handle key to get into the car.. I was PO'ed.

Strange ... it should never lock by itself with the FOB inside the car. Maybe you accidentally hit the lock button on the door panel while getting out? Even then, not sure if it would lock the door if the FOB was inside the car.

I just had the same experience this morning... Car running, fob in car, came back out and car was locked down. Thankfully I had my spare key inside the house. Only thing I can think is that it picked up the signal of the other fob inside the house..

That's bizarre, as the range of the FOB isn't very far really - like 3 to 5 feet. I don't understand why some of these cars are locking the FOB inside the car.
