Guess anyone will find anything to complain about on thier car.

Why not just leave these senseless niggles alone and enjoy the car? Jeez.

If nobody complained about niggles, this forum would just be one big circle jerk. Which would be lame.

I've praised this car to the hills on this forum and elsewhere and I ask for help with one thing that bugs me and I get a bunch of RTFM snark (even after the FM is proved to be incorrect).

Sheesh. :)

This applies to a Ford Truck, but it is worth a try: RTFM= Read the Ford Manual :)
As mentioned, the Mustang manual is wrong/nebulous on the autolock feature. The manual says you can control it in the Information Display menus, but it's not there to control. Hummm ...

Good luck!
The reason he said he doesn't like the autolock feature is because if he stops, gets out and walks around to the passenger's side that passenger's the door is still locked. Well guess what, if you enable "auto-unlock", the passenger door will unlock when you open the driver's side door, which would supposedly cure his gripe.

Too bad there isn't a "Thanks For Nothing" button for all you ****s.
May I add this to my signature?
You'll get full credit, of course. :D

Wow, auto locking doors are on 99% of new vehicles these days. He wants to lock his own doors, but it's too much of a hassle to unlock them while sitting in the car?

Sorry don't mean to troll, but this post made me scratch my head.

You do realized you trolled big time? :-)
Did you answer his question? No, not at all.

I've yet to experience another car where you can't disable auto-lock.

That refers to auto-unlock, which might unlock the trunk for my daughter to get her backpack when I drop her off at school.
How about you use the "trunk release button" on the dashboard how I do. (Left from the steering wheel)

I understand the Mustang manual has no instructions. The RTFM I referred to was the name of the guys site that made the video. Apparently, he does this a lot.

His instructions come from the truck manual, but involve using the ignition in sequences, which I thought might work for the OP. It has nothing to do with reading the manual.

Isn't it a safety feature?
Yes it's a safety feature. Helps prevent car jackings. It's a pain at times, but I'll live with it. Us women are thankful it's there.
